Francisco Alves

Professeur des Universités (Université Paris Sud - IUT de Cachan)

Francisco Alves received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1993 and his HdR in 2002 from University of Orsay, Paris XI. Assistant Professor between 1995 and 2005 at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, he is since 2005 Professor at University of Orsay. He join the LGEP (Laboratory of Electrical Engineering of Paris) where his research interests include magnetic materials, magnetism and AMR or MI magnetic sensors for non-destructive testing and Space applications. Since december 2005, he is involved (with CEA, EADS, THALES, IEF, STATICE) in the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology ANR program (Project IMAGINE)devoted to the design of new integrated multi-element sensors for non-destructive testing.
